What are the modes of payment?

Debit or Credit Card – Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club, Visa Electron, Maestro. Indonesians can make payment by bank transfer.

Can various discounts be accumulated?

Discounts cannot be accumulated. Please use the discount with the highest value.

What am I entitled to as a participant?

Each race category will have their own entitlements.

What is the minimum age requirement to participate in the Mandiri Bintan Marathon 2021?

  • A Participant must be 18 years and above as of 31 December 2021 to participate in the Marathon.
  • A Participant must be 16 years and above as of 31 December 2021 to participate in the Half Marathon 21.1km.
  • A Participant must be 13 years and above as of 31 December 2021 to participate in the 10km race.
  • A Participant must be 12 years and above as of 31 December 2021 to participate in the 3km Fun Run.
  • Participants for the Kids Run must be between 4 – 11 years as of Year 2021.

Note to parents and guardians of Kids Run participants:

For participants aged 5 years and below as of Year 2020, it is compulsory for one parent or guardian to accompany the child during the race for safety purposes, failing which, the organizer reserves the right to refuse entry to the Participant. A Wrist band will be issued to the accompanying parent OR guardian.

Any Participant below the age of 18 as of 31 December 2021 is required to seek parental/guardian consent and complete the relevant indemnity and declaration forms when registering online or in-person, failing which the Race Committee reserves the right to refuse entry to that Participant.

How do I know if I have successfully registered?

All registered participants will receive a confirmation email and receipt upon successful registration to the email address used at time of registration.

I registered but did not receive my confirmation email and receipt.

Please allow up to 2 hours to receive your confirmation email. There are several reasons you may have not received your confirmation slip after this time period:

  1. It could be in your spam/junk folder.
  2. Registration was unsuccessful.
  3. The email address entered at time of registration is incorrect.

Please email in to providing the email address used at time of registration process for the team to check your registration status.

How can I make changes to my details after registering?

Please send us an email to with your change request and we will get back to you on this.

I have registered for the race but have injured myself or unable to attend the race.

All race entries are non-refundable and non-transferrable to any future events.

Can I transfer my race entry to someone else?

All race registrations are strictly non-transferable.

I have missed the registration deadline. Can I still join the race?

No. All registrations have to be completed by 20th June 2021 and all participants must have a bib to enter the race course and venue.

Can I change my race category after signing up?

Yes, category transfer is open between 1st March 2021 – 1st June 2021. Please take note of the charges applied below:

  • Charges will be applied if a top up amount is required
  • The difference in pricing between the original registration and preferred running category will NOT be refunded.

Can I change my T-shirt size?

T-Shirt sizes can be changed up to 31st May 2021 subject to availability of the requested size. Please email us at for assistance.

After this date, no changes in T-Shirt size will be accepted. Please select your t-shirt size appropriately during the registration process.

Is there an official photographer?

Yes. FinisherPix is our official photographer for the event and you can purchase the Photo package or Photo & HD Video Pack package when you register for the race. You will also be able to purchase FinisherPix after the race, online.

When is the last date to register?

Is there discounts for Group registrations?

Yes, groups of 5 or more can enjoy the following discounts:
10% Discount: 5 – 10 members
15% Discount: 11 – 20 members
20% Discount: 21 members and above

I have a one-time discount code and how does it work?

You will select one of the registrations that you would like to apply the code to. Only the registration that the code was applied to gets to enjoy the discounted rate.

Will I be able to accumulate discounts for multiple registrations?

Only 1 discount code per item can be applied. The largest discount will be applied to order.

Can someone collect on my behalf?

Yes. Collection on behalf of a participant is limited to TWO additional race pack only per participant with the appropriate authorization documentation.

MBM 2020 will not release race packs collected on behalf of another person without ALL supporting documents.

I am only arriving on race day and will miss the race entry pack collection. Do you allow collection on race day?

No. Unless prior formal arrangement has been given to the organisers.

Full Marathon 42.195km – 6.5 hours

Half Marathon 21km – 4 hours

10km Run – 2.5 hours

Will I get race timing?

Yes, there is a timing chip attached to the bib for all categories except Kids Run & 3KM Fun Run.

Is there a bag deposit and where can I deposit?

Yes. You can deposit your bag at the Event Site Deposit Tents at the location.

What do I have to bring on race day?

All participants are advised to travel light and must have their race bib to enter the race course.

Which hotels do you recommend that are located close to the race venue?

Is there a shuttle service available to get to the race venue?

Yes, Resorts located within Bintan Resorts will provide Shuttle Services to and from the event site.

Where is the nearest carpark?

There is a carpark lot opposite the Grand Lagoi Hotel.

Are wheelchairs allowed on the race course?

No. due to some of the terrain that is inaccessible by wheelchairs.

Are babies, baby strollers, prams or animals allowed on the race course?

No. Baby prams or strollers are only allowed in the Kids Run category.

What happens if I have yet to complete the race after the cut off mark?

You will not be entitled to a finisher medal, finisher tee-shirt and finisher certificate.

Will I get a finisher medal if I did not complete the run?

You will only receive a medal when you complete the run before the cut off time.

Will there be a refund if the race is called off due to bad weather?

No refund will be made if the race is cancelled due to bad weather or unforeseen circumstances.

Can I walk instead of run?

Yes, as long as you are able to complete the race within the cut off timing stated.

How many water stations are there and what is the distance between each water station?

Do I register with my child or my own details on the registration form?

Please complete the registration form with your child’s details.

Do I have to register myself to accompany my child?

No, each Kids Run entry includes 1 accompanying adult for the run.

Do I have to bring my child along to Race Entry Pack Collection?

No, this is not required for Kids Run participant.

What is the distance for Kids Run?

The distance for Kids Dash is 1200M.

Is my few months old baby eligible to participate?

No. The Kids Run is for children between the age of 4yrs – 11yrs old.

What must I bring or wear to enter the Kids Run event with my child?

You will receive a bib pack during the Race Entry Pack Collection which consists of 1 Bib for the Child and 1 wrist tag for the accompanying parent

Can both parents accompany 1 child?

Only 1 accompanying adult allowed in to the Kids Run event with the child.

More than 1 of us is coming for the event with the child, is there a waiting area?

My child is 5 years old. Must I accompany my child for the run?

Yes. It is compulsory to accompany your child who is aged 5 and below during the event.

My child is above 5 years old, must I accompany my child for the run?

No. They can run without the companion of the parent/guardian. However, you are still welcome to join them.

I have registered for 2 children, can both parents join together?

Yes. As you have registered for 2 children, it means that 2 accompanying adults can accompany each of them.

Can both of my children run together?

Yes, they can.
